Today, most Americans are not taught the true history of their country. For instance, what were the ideas and beliefs of the founding fathers who wrote and signed the most important document in American history? The only way that one can really understand the minds of the writers of the Declaration of Independence is to devote some time to reading their autobiographies. For instance, John and Abigail Adams have written hundreds of letters to each other that document their beliefs and their faith. Understanding what they believed in, especially when they quote the Bible, gives us a path to understand their spirit at the time. For example, here is a passage from a letter Abigail wrote to John during the battles leading to the Revolutionary War.

We live in continual Expectation of Hostilities. Scarcely a day that does not produce some, but like Good
Nehemiah having made our prayer with God, and set the people with their Swords, their Spears and their bows we will say unto them, Be not affraid of them. Remember the Lord who is great and terible, and fight for your Breathren, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your houses.
And so from this letter and others, we know that they were both familiar with the Book of Nehemiah in the Bible. So when we open the Bible and take a look at the book of Nehemiah, we find this passage.
Nehemiah 9:36-38
"Behold, we are slaves this day; in the land that you gave to our fathers to enjoy its fruit and its good gifts, behold,
we are slaves. And its rich yield goes to the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins. They rule over our bodies and over our livestock as they please, and we are in great distress.Because of all this we make a firm covenant in writing; on the sealed document are the names of our princes, our Levites, and our priests."
So in the book of Nehemiah, the people were enslaved to the King and he was heavily taxing them. Because of this the people made an agreement and signed it. So what did they actually agree too? Well, let's look closely at Nehemiah's prayer and why Abigail would mention it in her current situation as the war begins.
Nehemiah 1:4-11
Nehemiah's Prayer
I continued fasting and praying before the God of heaven. I said, “O Lord God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, let your ear be attentive and your eyes open, to hear the prayer of your servant that I now pray before you day and night.
Confessing the sins of the people, which we have sinned against you. We have acted very corruptly against you and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, and the rules that you commanded your servant Moses.
O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of your servants who delight to fear your name, and give success to your servant today.”
Further along in the book of Nehemiah, we read about how a portion of Israel had just returned back to their own land, after 70 years of exile in Babylon. They began the process of recognizing the mistakes they and their ancestors made, all of which were foretold over 700 years eariler by Moses. Moses law fortells the consiquences for the nation turning against the Lord's laws. There would be many signs and warnings but if the nation did not repent, the Lord foretold that they would be destroyed and scatered among the nations.
Leviticus 26:27,31,33
If in spite of this you still do not listen to me but continue to be hostile toward me, then in my anger I will be hostile toward you, and I myself will punish you for your sins seven times over. I will turn your cities into ruins and lay waste your sanctuaries. I will scatter you among the nations and will draw out my sword and pursue you. Your land will be laid waste, and your cities will lie in ruins.
So the people who returned, led by Nehemiah, followed the very procedure written in the book of Leviticus that tells them what to do after all these things happen to them. I recommend your read this chapter in the Bible to really understand what Ezra and Nehemiah and now Abigail and John Adams are praying for. (See Leviticus 26)
Leviticus 26:41-42
“‘But if they will confess their sins and the sins of their ancestors—their unfaithfulness and their hostility toward me, which made me hostile toward them so that I sent them into the land of their enemies—then when their uncircumcised hearts are humbled and they pay for their sin, I will remember my covenant with Jacob and my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.
Nehemiah 8:1-4
Ezra Reads the Law
All the people gathered into the square before the Water Gate. And they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses that the Lord had commanded Israel. So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly, both men and women and all who could understand what they heard, on the first day of the seventh month. And he read from it facing the square before the Water Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women and those who could understand. And the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law.
After reading the Law and confessing and repenting their ancestors sins of breaking the law, they put together a document to which all the leaders and priests of the people agreed with and signed. There were about 86 signatures on the document and all the names are actually listed in the Bible.
Nehemiah 9:38
The Agreement of the People
“In view of all this, we are making a binding agreement, putting it in writing, and our leaders, our Levites and our priests are affixing their seals to it.” Those who sealed it were:

The rest of the people ... join with their brothers, their nobles, and
enter into a curse and an oath to walk in God's Law that was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord and his rules and his statutes.
So here we find in the book of Nehemiah, a Declaration of Independence in which Nehemiah and his people separate from the laws of the King that enslaved them, and unite themselves instead to the Laws of God.
When we study America's Declaration, we see a similar theme. First,
the Declaration of Independence was a document declaring America's
intent to separate from the King of Great Britain. That part we all
know, but this second part is no longer taught and has for the most
part been forgotten. The Declaration of
Dependence, was a binding to one another by the laws of God. The
dissolving of political bands like, republicans and
democrats, and the
assuming of Godly bands so people can be united by God's
definition of good and evil. Let's read the Declaration again. Here is first the final version.
The Unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America
When in the Course of human events
it becomes necessary for one
people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another
and
to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which
the Laws
of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that
all men are created equal, that they are
endowed by their Creator with certain
unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That
to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends,
it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and
to institute new

In order for America to be united again, we have to dissolve our political agendas and trust in God's plan again. That is how America was formed.

So be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left.

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.

Josiah reigned in Jerusalem thirty-one years. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and followed the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left.
Deuteronomy 17:9-12
Go to the Levitical priests and to the judge who is in office at that time. Inquire of them and they will give you the verdict. You must act according to the decisions they give you at the place the Lord will choose. Be careful to do everything they instruct you to do. Act according to whatever they teach you and the decisions they give you. Do not turn aside from what they tell you, to the right or to the left. Anyone who shows contempt for the judge or for the priest who stands ministering there to the Lord your God is to be put to death. You must purge the evil from Israel.
Ezekiel 44:24
“‘In any dispute, the priests are to serve as judges and decide it according to my ordinances. They are to keep my laws and my decrees for all my appointed festivals, and they are to keep my Sabbaths holy.
Thomas Jefferson was asked by Adams to write the first draft because Adams felt that Jefferson was a better writer. Jefferson's original draft did not mention the Creator. John Adams in his own handwriting made his own copy to review and another copy went to Benjamin Franklin.

Final Draft: Inspired by Adams & Franklin and approved by Congress. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
The most important aspect of this Declaration, that lead to "the pursuit of Happiness" is that men and women are not independent of one another, but rather dependent through the moral laws of God. It seems we assumed (supposed without proof) when we really should have assumed (take on).

In our search for happiness, how can one be happy if other citizens plan to harm you or your children; if the adulterer seeks to destroy your marriage; if you are lured (or forced) into debt (like taking on large college debt just to get a good job); if you are repeatedly forced to work long hours because others are willing to do it and you could lose your job; if your job is outsourced to foreigners due to corporate greed; if you are deceived by someone you trusted and lose your wealth; if someone embitters you and destroys your ability to love; if pride causes you to pressure your own children for the sake of vain rewards (sports, degrees, high paying jobs); if your politicians take bribes which lead to higher taxes, outsourcing of jobs, mandated insurance premiums and higher student debt; if schools are teaching your children that there is no God; if your priest hides the Lord's moral law from your family. States can be independent, governments can be independent, but the happiness of people that live in these states is dependent on all of them following the same moral law. How can the states be "United" and put "In God We Trust" on our currency when we throw God's law away and trust in laws created by men? Moral Law is the greatest Union against oppression that exists in the world. When morals drop, people become greedy, they oppress one another, embitter one another, mock one another, deceive one another, and give up love for the pursuit of wealth. Oppression sets in, greed takes over, and the cost to regulate this sinful behavior will cause governments to grow which increases taxes and decreases happiness. History has shown that the greedy and the rich are not able to buy their own happiness, but their lack of understanding blinds them into thinking it can. Women are deceived into believing that jobs can replace the oxytocin she receives naturally by having children and being loved.
Oxytocin is produced in pregnancy, levels increase significantly during active labor and childbirth, and both mom and baby produce oxytocin after birth and as long as baby breastfeeds. Oxytocin evokes feelings of contentment, trust, empathy, calmness and security and reduces anxiety and fear -Oxytocin in Childbirth: A Labor of Love

God gives some people wealth, possessions and honor, so that they lack nothing their hearts desire, but God does not grant them the ability to enjoy them, and strangers enjoy them instead. This is meaningless, a grievous evil.
So the question is, who was smart enough to say that our rights to happiness and liberty come from our Creator and what actually are those rights? Well, I have spent much time reading the letters from John and Abigail Adams' diary and also those of Ben Franklin and I see what I believe is their influence in this final edit. Here are some of Adams' notes. By understanding the thinking of John Adams at the time, one can finally interpret true meaning.
John Adams diary,
3 July 1776
July 1776, will be the most memorable Epocha, in the History of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival.
It ought to be commemorated, as the
Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.
John Adams diary, 8/1/1761
"A Man who can read will find in his Bible
rules and observations that will enlarge his range of thought, and
enable him the better to judge who has and who has not that Integrity of Heart, and that
Compass of
Knowledge and Understanding, which form the Statesman."
That "compass" former President Adams speaks about is what we today call our navigation system: our direction. So the Bible according to Adams is the book of Knowledge and Understanding that forms the moral character of the citizens who are united as "Americans".
And here are a few quotes from a work of Ben Franklin called The Articles of Belief and Acts of Religion, where Franklin tells us his beliefs point blank.

"It is that particular wise and good God, who
is the Author and Owner of our System, that I propose for the Object
of my Praise and Adoration.; For I conceive that he has in himself
some of those Passions he has planted in us, and that, since he has
given us Reason whereby we are capable of observing his Wisdom in
the Creation, he is not above caring for us, being pleas’d with our
Praise, and offended when we slight Him, or neglect his Glory."
"Thou abhorrest in thy Creatures Treachery and Deceit, Malice, Revenge, [Intemperance] and every other hurtful Vice; but Thou art a Lover of Justice and Sincerity, of Friendship, Benevolence and every Virtue. Thou art my Friend, my Father, and my Benefactor. Praised be thy Name, O God, for Ever - Amen"
How did the government let this understanding fade from our history books? How can people be united under God's law if we don't teach God's laws to our children? Without God's law, the Declaration of Independence is null and void. Here is what George Washington had to say about the importance of obeying God's law as a nation.
"the propitious smiles of Heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained." -Washington's Inaugural Address of 1789
So how can we have a Constitution with new laws that were added or changed that contradict the biblical law? According to Washington, the nation needs to obey and follow the Laws that "Heaven" has ordained. How can we have judges that render decisions that don't even know God's law? Yet they put their right hand on a Bible when they get sworn in but have no idea of what the book actually says or the magnitude of their oath before God.
Exodus 18:21
Select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens. Have them serve as judges for the people at all times
Ezekiel 44:24
“In any dispute, the priests are to serve as judges and decide it according to my ordinances. They are to keep my laws and my decrees for all my appointed festivals, and they are to keep my Sabbaths holy.
Deuteronomy 6:13
Fear the Lord your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name.
So instead of peace and justice, we have this.
Hosea 10:4
They make many promises, take false oaths and make agreements; therefore lawsuits spring up like poisonous weeds in a plowed field.
I have studied the Bible in great detail and see that God's law is perfect for uniting people and creating happiness in society. John Adams was a great leader to preserve this understanding for us. Here is some of his thoughts about the knowledge found in scripture and how it would be suitable to the basis of America's civil laws.

No Priest nor Pope has any Right to say what I shall believe, and I will not believe one Word they say, if I think it is not founded in Reason and in Revelation. Now how can I judge what My Bible justifies unless I can read my Bible.

Suppose a nation in some distant Region, should take
the Bible for their only law Book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited. Every member would be obliged in Concience to temperance and frugality and industry, to justice and kindness and Charity towards his fellow men, and to Piety and Love, and reverence towards almighty God. In this Commonwealth, no man would impair his health by Gluttony, drunkenness, or Lust-no man would sacrifice his most precious time to cards, or any other trifling and mean amusement-no man would steal or lie or any way defraud his neighbour, but would live in peace and good will with all men-no man would blaspheme his maker or prophane his Worship, but a rational and manly, a sincere and unaffected Piety and devotion, would reign in all hearts. What a Eutopa, what a Paradise would this region be.
The problem dividing America now is that by removing GOD from the equation, we have nothing to be bounded by. Without God's Law, there is now chaos and disorder and people can't agree on what is right and what is wrong.

This is what happens when we are united by politics and no longer by God's Laws.
Micah 7:3
"The ruler demands gifts, the judge accepts bribes, the powerful dictate what they desire, they all conspire together"
Hosea 4:6
"my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.
“Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also reject you as my priests;
because you have ignored the law of your God,
I also will ignore your children"
So our way back to our "united" state of being is first by rejecting the lies and bitterness spread by those whom we once held in high esteem. Evolution is dead, you have a guidance system in your head. The "age of reason" has proved to be, well un-reasonable.
Isaiah 9:14-16
"So the Lord will cut off from Israel both head and tail, both palm branch and reed in a single day;
the elders and honored man (scientists) are the head, the prophets who teach lies are the tail (priests).
Those who guide this people mislead them, and those who are guided are led astray
"
Next, we need to restore our faith in God's Law; the law that once united us. This will make us wise to be able to recognize the bitterness (evil) in the people who are guiding us. Then the fighting will disappear and we won't need any more antidepressants. Marriage and family will return, parents will stop fighting, and children won't need anymore ADHD medication. Health care costs will be cut in half so young families can afford it. The very fact that one in four women over fifty needs antidepressants in today's society teaches us that modern laws are not leading to happiness. Our eyes have now been opened and it's not a pretty picture on how far we have faded from our Founding Father's guidance. George Washington once said.

And for over two hundred years the experiment, could the biblical law lead to happiness, produced its fruit. America rose to be the greatest and richest nation on earth."

The Bible tells us, “how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.” - Psalm 133:1
I have wired up the brain and understand how the law works for all people (see The Law), so I am confident this verse is true.
Psalm 19:7
"The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple."
The Age of Understanding will open up our minds so that even the simple (like I once was) will become wise. There will be no more bitterness; it's destroying our health, our happiness and our lives. We have lost our way back to the truth found in the biblical law. Religions and evolution have corrupted the moral law that once united the nation and now, just as John Adams predicted, the values of society have been reversed.
Warning from John Adams
John Adams diary 15, August 1770
The Government of the Supreme and alperfect Mind, over all his intellectual Creation, is by proportioning Rewards to Piety and Virtue, and Punishments to Disobedience and Vice. Virtue, by the Constitution of Nature carries in general its own Reward, and Vice its own Punishment, even in this World. But as many Exceptions to this Rule, take Place upon Earth, the Joys of Heaven are prepared, and the Horrors of Hell in a future State to render the moral Government of the Universe, perfect and compleat. Human Government is more or less perfect, as it approaches nearer or diverges farther from an Imitation of this perfect Plan of divine and moral Government. In Times of Simplicity and Innocence, Ability and Integrity will be the principal Recommendations to the public Service, and the sole Title to those Honours and Emoluments, which are in the Power of the Public to bestow.
But when Elegance, Luxury and Effeminacy begin to be established, these Rewards will begin to be distributed to Vanity and folly. But
when a Government becomes totally corrupted, the system of God Almighty in the Government of the World and the Rules of all good Government upon Earth will be reversed, and Virtue, Integrity and Ability will become the Objects of the Malice, Hatred and Revenge of the Men in Power, and folly, Vice, and Villany will be cherished and supported.
In such Times you will see a Governor of a Province, for unwearied Industry in his Endeavours to ruin and destroy the People, whose Welfare he was under every moral obligation to study and promote, knighted and enobled. You will see a Philanthrop, for propagating as many Lies and Slanders against his Country as ever fell from the Pen of a sychophant, rewarded with the Places of Solicitor General, Attorney general, Advocate General, and Judge of Admiralty, with Six Thousands a Year. You will see 17 Rescinders, Wretches, without Sense or Sentiment, rewarded with Commissions to bejustices of Peace, Justices of Peace the Common Pleas and presently justices of the Kings Bench. The Consequence of this will be that
the Iron Rod of Power will be stretched out.
Is anybody listening? Does anybody know what the Iron Rod of Power is? That is what you will learn about reading the rest of this site. It's time to remove the obstacles out of our way and return to the way of the Lord; to a life of happiness, love and family (see The Way).
Isaiah 57:14
"And it will be said: “Build up, build up, prepare the road!
Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people.”
For example, look at the bitterness that divided Abraham's household in the Old Testament. Abraham was the father of both Isaac (whose descendants became the Israelites) and Ishmael (whose descendants became the Muslims). And because Abraham listened to his wife (remember Adam's sin) and sent Ishmael away with no inheritance, this created a lasting bitterness that has spread from generation to generation. Imagine how you would feel if your own father did this to you. To this day, the Israelites and the Muslims are still fighting. But the Lord promised Abraham that he would watch over Ishmael:
Genesis 17:20
"And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation."
Isaac also had two sons, Esau and Jacob, and the same thing happened where Jacob received all the inheritance and a feud broke out again over money. Then Esau's children hated Jacob's children. Many believe Esau's descendants became the Palestinians. It's easy to see how bitterness can last for generations and separate people. Racism is a bitterness that spreads and now feminism is a bitterness that spreads. By our facial expressions and mirror neurons, we spread bitterness from generation to generation. Our brain wires up the reward value based on the facial expressions of others; this spreads bitterness if we are not aware of it. Now we can stop that trend because we know how it works in our brain.
Hebrews 12:15
"See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many."
See, it really doesn't matter who our leaders are or what country you are from or the religion you claim to follow; there is one Creator with one moral law. It's just generations of bitterness that separates us and the media and even our religions are good at spreading this and turning us against one another. World peace starts with people believing in the good found in one law. It starts with our families, then spreads to our communities, states, countries and eventually to the entire human race. As John Adams writes in his diary, the lines of this poem that provide us with an important clue to our history.

to wake as the small Pebble stirs the Peacefull Lake, The Center Moved, a Circle straight succeeds, another still and still another
spreads. Friend, Parent, Neighbour, first it does embrace, our Country next and next all human Race."
This very interesting text entry from John Adams' diary can be traced to a poem from The Harvard Classics. I read this poem and was surprised to find this passage in the same poem. The missing link to understanding the thinking of our Founding Fathers when writing the Declaration of Independence.

Wow! Here is the likely source of the words Nature's God from the Declaration of Independence. This book, The Harvard Classics, was well read among the Founding Fathers. So it's time to put all this UNDERSTANDING into action. John Adams knew that the Iron Rod of Power would eventually be stretched out against America, so he left us a light to guide us back. What a wise and understanding leader. No wonder the Lord granted him a long life of 90 years. We can all make a difference if we just humble ourselves, repent our bitterness, our greed and our pride, all of which we got from our ancestors, and show thanks to our creator by simply observing his law and teaching it to our children. According to scripture, the Lord judges us as individuals and by our following of his law. You don't have to change your religion to do this; there are many branches that lead back to the root. That root is the Lord's moral law.

The Pebble has been thrown, it's time to stop the waves and bring back the peace.
So join me and use this wisdom and understanding to create a better world for our children; a world where love, family and humility are greater than money, greed and pride. A world that puts its posterity (all future generations) first like our forefathers did. A world without the bitterness of feminism, and without coveting that leads us into debt (a form of slavery). A world that knows and follows the Lord's Law (see The Law); the real "inspired" word of God. A world that hopes in the Lord and does not trust in money. I can promise you that anyone who hears the Lord's moral law, if they are not already following it, will eagerly accept his law over what they now follow. I've learned, after a great deal of suffering, that this law creates the peace in our homes, it renews our marriages, earns back our respect, protects our children, promotes strong family values, and leads us back to good health and happiness while, at the same time, expanding the size of a nation.
So let's not let our religion deceive us or divide us any longer. Bring this teaching to your Bible study.
There is only one
Earth, one Creator and one set of Laws that lead to peace!
Imagine the world peace, the utopia as John Adams writes, we could all share if we could just humble ourselves
and agree to follow that one book of Law! The law that our
forefathers trusted in. The Law that made America great among the
nations. After all, everything that is alive on Earth is just made
from dust; a collection of amino acids wired together by an intelligence far
greater than any human can comprehend. Why let pride and greed destroy us
like it has destroyed many kingdoms before us. The next four
chapters will guide you in the understanding of this Law, the
leaders who followed it, and the nations that rose up because of it.
May this work bring peace and good health to you, your family
and even your country.
